In my own small way of recognizing the 250th anniversary of the Ship Hector arriving in my birth place of Pictou County, Nova Scotia on Sept 15th, 1773, I put together a small page sharing some of my photos showing a few of the Scottish connections visible in NS. In addition, having been fortunate enough to visit Scotland for the first time this summer, I also share my thoughts on that trip and some of the connections to Nova Scotia I realized along the way. Having descended from Scottish ancestry but having not really considered my roots in much detail, it ended up being a more moving experience than I had expected. I hope you enjoy it.
